Join Ella for a full day of metal bashing & skill learning to handcraft your own pewter spoon or bowl at Manchester Craft and Design Centre

Experience pewtersmithing to create your own pewter bowl or spoon using traditional metalwork skills.

Ella will guide you through the variety of traditional metalwork skills needed to design and make your bowl or spoon (decide on the day) before you take home to proudly use.

We will be working with sheet metal to raise your bowl or spoon from a flat sheet of metal. Using hammers and formers with a variety of heritage craft skills such as raising, piercing, soldering and polishing techniques.

Please choose spoon or bowl ticket at checkout. This is not binding (just to give Ella a rough materials guide) and there will be opportunity to swap on the day. If you're unsure what you'd like to make please select either ticket or contact Ella via email ella@ellamcintosh.co.uk if you'd like to discuss any options.
