‘Castscape’ 2024

Through her new work Ella pushes the boundaries and limits of traditional pewter casting methods to create large complex slabs of pewter with repeated texture or design directly inspired by her Northern landscape of Lancashire and Manchester.

She then uses the cast pewter panels to ‘construct’ her designs utilising the repeated action of the castings combined with highly polished sheet metal to create abundance of texture and layers of visual effect in her objects.
